Contribution to medical care through blood donations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At our Head Office\/Kamishima Factory in Izunokuni City (Shizuoka), we regularly host blood donation events run by the Japanese Red Cross Society and Red Cross Blood Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As one of our social contribution activities, TAUNS will continue to cooperate in blood donation to save as many lives as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Contribution to medical care through donations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We have installed donation-type vending machines at our Head Office, Kamishima Plant, Shimizu-cho Office and R & D Center. These donation-type vending machines are set up so that 3% of the purchase price of each item sold is donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society, and the money is used to support life-saving activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, as part of our company’s efforts, we collect used postage stamps and donate them to a certified NPO called the “Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World’s Children.” The used stamps are sold to stamp dealers and collectors, and the money raised is used to support vaccination activities for children in developing countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Donation of our rapid diagnostic test kits in the event of an earthquake disaster<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We would like to express our deepest condolences for the people who lost lives in the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, and offer our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a genuine desire to do something for the health of everyone affected by the disaster and all those engaged in relief activities, on March 28, 2011, we donated 120,000 of our rapid diagnostic test kits for detecting influenza virus antigens as relief supplies to help prevent the further spread of influenza infection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Participation in Pharma Valley Project<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

TAUNS is participating in Shizuoka Prefecture\u2019s Pharma Valley Project\uff0a<\/sup> focused in the eastern region of the prefecture. Together with the Fujinokuni Medical Castle Town Promotion Organization, which serves as the core support organization for the project, we are contributing to the local community<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\uff0a<\/sup>The Pharma Valley Project: Taking advantage of favorable transportation infrastructure, a beautiful natural environment, and a concentration of health-related industries in the foothills of Mt. Fuji, the project aims to promote world-class research and development, improve the health of the prefecture\u2019s people, and stimulate medical and health-related industries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We support the “Kinyanne Ohito Summer Festival” held in Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where our Head Office and Kamishima Factory are located. The large fireworks that seem to pour down from the sky are powerful and spectacular, and every year many citizens cheer the fireworks that light up the summer nights along the Kano River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we also support the “Shimizu-cho Spring Water Festival” in Shimizu-cho, Sunto-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture, where our Shimizu-cho Office and R&D Center are located.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
